Avoid cramming everything in at once
When you cram for things your brain is too overwhelmed and never has time to comprehend so go slow and really pay attention to what your reading.
Structure and organize the information you are studying.
Memory is stored in different clusters so help yourself out and only study one subject at a time.
Utilize mnemonic devices to remember information.
A mnemonic device is simply a way to remember information. For example, you might associate a term you need to remember with a common item that you are very familiar with.
Get some sleep.
Researchers have long known that sleep is important for memory and learning. Some recent research has shown that taking a nap after you learn something new can actually help you learn faster and remember better.
Teach new concepts to another person.
Teaching new things is a great way to learn yourself. think about if you understand enough to teach you can pass a test.
